| Guess this old guy can share some writing of his own for all of you great people. Here's the last one I wrote a while back.
Broken Chain
Some nights I lay awake and wonder what the problem is,
And why the answers aren't found to this impossible quiz.
Why can't I just be happy with the girl I see in my dreams?
I'm tortured by the fact that no girl is what she seems.
My eyes wither without her beauty and lose their gleams.
Now I resort back to searching and returining to extremes.
Any efforts to smile are shot down and the same goes for love.
Maybe I should give up and wait to be taken to the stars above.
The limits have been tested and my soul pushed to its brink.
Emotions tattered and beaten, thoughts never are in sync.
Now my heart is at the edge of tolerance and I start to think,
What if I have to live the rest of my life without my missing link? | |
